The Porsche 718 Cayman S is a mid-engined 2-door sports car that acts as the coupe counterpart of the Porsche 718 Boxster S. Both models are part of the fourth generation Porsche 718 Boxster/Cayman.
Overview[]
Released in 2016, the 718 Cayman/Cayman S features two new horizontally opposed flat-4 turbocharged engines at 2.0L (1,988 cc) and 2.5L (2,497 cc) displacement with increased torque and horsepower, higher redline, and lower fuel consumption.
The 2.0L F4 produces 296 hp (221 kW) and 280 ft·lb (380 N·m). With a six-speed manual transmission, 0-60 mph (0-97 km/h) occurs in 4.9 seconds along with a top speed of 171 mph (275 km/h). The seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission produces a faster 0-60 time of 4.7 seconds and the PDK Sport Chrono version produces 4.5. The 2.5L F4 produces 345 hp (257 kW) and 310 ft·lb (420 N·m). Paired with a six-speed manual transmission, the 718 Boxster reaches 60 mph (97 km/h) in 4.4 seconds and a top speed of 177 mph (285 km/h), which is the same speed for the PDKs. The PDK has a faster 0-60 time of 4.2 seconds, while the PDK Sport Chrono does the same in just 4 seconds.
The 718 Cayman weighs 2944 lb (1335 kg) with a manual and 3010 lb (1365 kg) with the PDK transmission, resulting in a power-to-weight ratio of up to 258 hp per tonne. The Cayman S weighs 2988 lb (1355 kg) with a manual and 3054 lb (1385 kg) with the PDK transmission.

Performance[]
At stock, the 718 Cayman features overall mediocre stats. When fully upgraded, it has a decent top speed, handling, and nitro, but average acceleration. It’s somewhat useful in Bronze League, but will struggle in Silver League, as the Acura NSX and Pininfarina H2 Speed can easily beat it on any track, which none of them it can compete with.
It can compete with low-to-mid Class D cars such as the DS E-Tense, Lotus Elise Sprint 220, or the Ford Shelby GT350R if driven properly.
