At MAX + PRO, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS closely rivals the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento, Ferrari LaFerrari, Lamborghini Asterion, Zenvo ST1, and P1™. The Porsche 911 GT3 RS lacks partially in total top speed, due to having a large nitro. On the other hand, it does have superb acceleration due to its large nitro, as well as excellent handling and drifting, making it nimbler than its competitors. Compared to the McLaren P1, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS' handling and drifting are much more responsive and occur nearly instantly, as opposed to having a short delay between activation and response. However, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS only has a nitro efficiency of 7/12/15, which is good, but not as good as the 5/10/15 of the McLaren P1 (and Lamborghini Asterion). |

This article is about the 991.1 model used in Asphalt 8: Airborne and Asphalt Streetstorm. For the succeeding 991.2 model used in Asphalt 9: Legends, see Porsche 911 GT3 RS (991.2).
The Porsche 911 GT3 RS (991.1) is a rear-engined supercar that acts as the track-focused version of the Porsche 911 GT3 (991.1).
Description
Launched at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS (991.1) is the RS version of the 991.1 GT3.
The 991.1 GT3 RS's front fenders are equipped with louvers above the wheels and the rear fenders feature air intakes similar to those of the 911 Turbo (991.1), rather than an intake below the rear wing. Magnesium was used to make the roof. The 991 GT3 RS's interior features full bucket seats based on the Porsche 918 Spyder's carbon seats, carbon fiber inserts, lightweight door handles, and the Club Sport Package as standard: a bolted-on roll cage behind the front seats, preparation for a battery master switch, and a six-point safety harness for the driver and fire extinguisher with mounting bracket.
The Porsche 911 GT3 RS (991.1)'s engine is a new 4.0 L (4,000 cc) naturally aspirated flat-6 engine producing 493 hp (368 kW) at 8,250 rpm and 339 ft·lb (460 N·m) of torque at 6,250 rpm. The 991.1 GT3 RS comes with only a seven-speed PDK transmission.
The Porsche 911 GT3 RS (991.1) is capable of 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 196 mph (315 km/h).
In 2018, the 991.1 GT3 RS was succeeded by an updated 991.2 GT3 RS variant, which obtained a lap time of 6:56.4 at the Nürburgring-Nordschleife circuit.[1] This GT3 RS is the second highest-performing road-going 911 model in existence, only behind the twin-turbocharged 911 GT2 RS (991.2).
Asphalt 8: Airborne
Summary
The Porsche 911 GT3 RS was added in the Porsche Update as one of five Porsches in the Porsche Motor Series. Within the sequence of five special events, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS was unlockable via an R&D event.
The Porsche 911 GT3 RS is a mid Class A car with the following ranks statistics:
- Starting rank: 1360
- MAX rank: 1566 (+206)
- MAX+PRO rank: 1697 (+131)
- Tuning Kit bonus: +46
- Stock to MAX+PRO rank difference: 337
- Nitro Efficiency: 7/12/15
Performance
The Porsche 911 GT3 RS is a highly nitro-focused car, like all of the Porsche cars introduced during the Porsche Update. It has the largest nitro stat in all of Class A. However, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS gains more speed from raw top speed upgrades rather than nitro upgrades and has a lower upgrade rank weighting on its raw top speed as well, making it highly favorable to upgrade raw top speed alone for better performance in Multiplayer.
At MAX + PRO, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS closely rivals the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento, Ferrari LaFerrari, Lamborghini Asterion, Zenvo ST1, and McLaren P1™.
Usage
The Porsche 911 GT3 RS awards 2 Champion Kit Boxes (60 cards in total) in Car Mastery Challenge 5 (required rank 1416), making it the first car in the game to award multiple Pro kit boxes in Car Mastery instead of just one. This is the Porsche 911 GT3 RS's best use to date.
In TLEs, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS can compete well in the mid-end Class A bracket, which includes the following cars: Lucra L148, Ferrari FF, Jaguar C-X75, Ferrari LaFerrari, Lamborghini Asterion, Porsche 911 GT3 RS, McLaren P1, and Mazzanti Evantra. In this bracket, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS competes as the tied second-best car, alongside the McLaren P1. However, the Lamborghini Asterion is superior to both cars. Also, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS is significantly more expensive to upgrade than the McLaren P1, so it's generally easier to use the McLaren P1 instead of the Porsche 911 GT3 RS.
The Porsche 911 GT3 RS is also featured in a higher-tier bracket which includes the following cars: RUF RT 12 S, Ferrari FF, Lamborghini Asterion, Porsche 911 GT3 RS, Mazzanti Evantra, Savage Rivale GTR, Nissan GT-R Nismo, Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4, and Sbarro Alcador. The Porsche 911 GT3 RS is much less effective in this bracket.
In Multiplayer, these tunes are decent, to some extent, but aren't extremely competitive:
- MAX 0505 + PRO 5555 - 279.5 mph (450.1 km/h) with a raw top speed of 226.3 mph (364.4 km/h) @1625
- MAX 0504 + PRO 5050 - 266.2 mph (428.7 km/h) with a raw top speed of 226.3 mph (364.4 km/h) @1535
- MAX 0500 + PRO 5050 - 254.2 mph (409.4 km/h) with a raw top speed of 226.3 mph (364.4 km/h) @1484
The Porsche 911 GT3 RS belongs to the Porsche collection.
Price
The Porsche 911 GT3 RS can be unlocked via Research & Development. It must be assembled with Blueprints, specifically 45 Common Porsche 911 GT3 RS BP cards, all of which are obtained throughout the R&D. The car's hidden buying price is 3,500. Assembly takes 3 hours and can be skipped for up to 232.
For a limited time, it was possible to purchase Porsche 911 GT3 RS Full BP Pack, which contained all 45 Blueprints required to build the 911 GT3 RS, at a cost of 6,500, 3,000 tokens higher than the hidden purchase price.
As of the Sixth Anniversary Mini Update, the car no longer requires Blueprints to be assembled and has a full purchase price of 3,500.
As of the 2019 Spring Update, upgrades cost 1,435,000 while Pro Kits require 477,600, 18 of each Class A Part, 28 Exceptional Engines, 12 Early & Initial Techs each, 24 Mid-Techs, and 12 Advanced Techs.
