Description[]
- Text originally from the Porsche 991's Wikipedia page.
Following an introduction at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, the 991 received a mid-cycle facelift for the 2017 model year. The updated Porsche 911 (at Porsche internally referred to as 991.2 or 991 II) introduced new styling including updated front and rear bumpers, new dual exhaust pipes along with new head and tail lights and options, along with all new, 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged flat-six engines across the range.
In January 2017, five new GTS versions (RWD coupé and cabriolet as well as AWD coupé, cabriolet and Targa) were launched.
Asphalt 9: Legends[]
The Porsche 911 GTS Coupé has been available in the game since its Soft Launch and appears as a low-rank Class B car with the following rank statistics:
A total of 1,586,960 is required to fully upgrade the Porsche 911 GTS Coupé from its stock rank: 746,960 for all upgrades, 360,000 to apply all 24 uncommon Import Parts, 120,000 to apply all 4 rare import parts, and 360,000 to apply all 4 epic import parts.
Performance[]
At its stock rank, the Porsche 911 GTS Coupé has a top speed rating of 312, an acceleration stat of 64.90, below average handling (41.08), and below average nitro efficiency (42.95).
The Porsche 911 GTS Coupé's upgrades give the greatest improvements to its nitro efficiency and acceleration, while providing small increases to handling and top speed. Once upgraded, the 911 GTS has a top speed rating similar to the Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport, while its nitro efficiency becomes slightly above average. However, the 911 GTS's poor handling means that it is still prone to losing speed around even slight bends.
Usage[]
Due to its lower overall performance statistics versus other Class B cars, even at MAX, and because it is only available for use from Gold League upwards, where higher-performance cars like the SCG 003S, Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport and Lamborghini Huracán EVO Spyder are prevalent, the Porsche 911 GTS Coupé sees little use in multiplayer despite the widespread availability of its blueprints. Along with the Lamborghini Asterion, the 911 GTS serves as a basic Class B car that can be used to complete Career Mode races, as well as Daily Car Loot and Car Hunt events that give blueprints for cars with better performance statistics.
Availability[]
The Porsche 911 GTS Coupé's blueprints can be obtained from certain Career Mode races that give it as a reward, as well as the Daily Car Loot event if the Class C-restricted time goal is completed. In addition, blueprints may also be obtained from the Classic Pack and Legend Store once the player reaches Garage Level 4.
55 Porsche 911 GTS Coupé blueprints—enough to unlock the car but 5 short to star it up to —were given to all players on 31 August 2021 to celebrate the launch of Asphalt 9 on Xbox.
