The Porsche 99X Electric Formula E, unofficially known as Porsche Formula E, is an early demo showcar version of the Porsche 99X Electric Formula E Gen2 open-wheeler which would later start competing in 2019–20 Formula E season.
Description[]
The demo car of the Porsche 99X Electric was first seen in a YouTube video which the team's first driver Neel Jani was announced for Porsche's eventual debut for the 2019–20 Formula E season.[1] The actual testing prototype was later assembled in January 2019, and first tested in March 2019 in Weissach.[2]
Asphalt Legends[]
The Porsche Formula-E was only driven for the finals of the 2019 Asphalt eSports Series presented by Black Shark, Porsche and ESL at Gamescom 2019.[3] It was never made accessible by any means for regular players.
In the Italian Revolution Update, the Formula E Gen 2 Asphalt Edition was added, depicting the Spark SRT05e with the new Formula E livery and having Hankook iON tires equipped. In its card packs and IAPs, it is named as "Porsche Formula E", suggesting that it may be rebranded into the said car during the update. It was mistakenly placed into the Porsche brand in the Asphalt Legends Unite Expansion Update, which would later be fixed in the subsequent Speed Parade, Haunted Wheels & Black Friday Update.
