The Porsche Mission R is a concept study of an all-electric grand touring racing car by Porsche Motorsport, envisioning how racing series would look like in the future.
Description[]
The Mission R was developed in approximately nine months by a team of 30 and was unveiled at IAA 2021 on September 6.
At its unveiling, Porsche stated the Mission R was intended for a one-make racing series with all-electric cars and could match the lap times of the 992 GT3 Cup. A Porsche spokesman also declined to confirm if the Mission R would be campaigned in the forthcoming FIA Electric GT Championship (2023+), noting that it already participated in the FIA Formula E World Championship and two factory-backed teams would be impractical. However, the technical specifications are largely compatible with Electric GT, and it is possible that Porsche may transition to the former series.
The automotive press has speculated the Mission R could preview a future electrified equivalent to the existing 718 Cayman, based in part on its size, although Porsche have denied this.

Performance[]
It performs similar to the Mercedes-Benz 2022 Showcar Vision AMG, with a much slower top speed and better everything else. While not having the worst stock performance, it's below-average nitro and handling, as well as a wide drift radius doesn't make it a competitive choice in events or multiplayer. When fully upgraded, it acts as a buffed Acura NSX (2017), with slightly worse top speed in exchange for slightly better performance in all other aspects. Its acceleration being one of the best gives it strong starts during races, and it's vastly improved handling, drifting and nitro efficiency allows it to maintain a decent top speed while going on corners or rough terrain and getting to its top speed quickly once through them. It can compete with cars with similar performance, including the Porsche Panamera Turbo S, and at times can keep up with class C kings like the Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 2013.
Usage[]
It was one of the support cars in the Drive Syndicate 9: Rebels Unite for Ghosts in the Dark missions, and required 
to advance to subsequent chapters of the event.
Availability[]
The car was obtainable during Drive Syndicate 9 by finishing The Syndicate's Hunt missions, where 
50 (unlock guaranteed) at 
15,000 and 20 at 74,000 of its blueprints could be obtained. Additional blueprints and epic import parts could be obtained in the Syndicate Store.
It was later available in the Easter Eggstravaganza Event between April 14 – 28, 2025.
