The RAESR Tartarus, also known as the RAESR Tachyon Tartarus is one of the design studies for a proposed successor to the RAESR Tachyon Speed.
Description[]
The Tartarus is one of the design studies of RAESR's Tachyon line along with the Xenomorph, Wolfsblood and Celeri by the brand's founder, Eric Rice, using Solidworks. In Greek mythology, "Tartarus" both means a deity, and the lowest place in the Underworld.
In the brand's Instagram posts on November 4, 2022, the first post showcased four iterations of the Tachyon "Tartarus", along with details about the car — including its three-seat layout, a methanol-fueled V8 engine producing over 2,500 horsepower combined with 670 horsepower from electric motors for a total output of over 3,000 horsepower, an emphasis on a 4:59 downforce ratio, and three different trims, each featuring unique bodywork designs.[1] For the second post, the render of a concept car that is seen next to the original Tachyon Speed, is dubbed as "Tartarus", which is the variant used in Asphalt Legends Unite.[2] The rear sections of all variants’ bodies were displayed in the third post.[3]

Performance[]
At MAX, it has a top speed of around 537.5 km/h, making it the third fastest vehicle in the game, only behind the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut and Devel Sixteen. The launch acceleration and handling are great, but the nitro efficiency is considerably lacking. Despite its suggestive stats, the Tartarus is unable to reach its purported top speed. This is not only due to its abysmal nitro efficiency, but also because past 300 km/h, its acceleration decreases significantly. Its inability to perform 360 "floaties" or punch drifts effectively further limits its potential.
