Description[]
The RAM 1500 Rebel was a full-size pickup truck produced by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (currently known as Stellantis North America) in 2015. The 1500 Rebel is intended for both on-road and off-road use, offering off-road suspension, higher ride height, and larger tires. A unique interior and exterior can be found, notable alterations to the exterior being the blacked-out grille, "RAM" emblems, an aluminum hood, skid plates, and tow hooks; the grille design and labels would eventually be used for the 2017 models that are outside of the 1500 Rebel trim.
1500 Rebels were available only as half-ton trucks with a crew cab and a short flatbed, and came with either the Pentastar VVT FlexFuel-Capable V6 that produced 305 hp, or a 395 hp HEMI V8 engine. The V8 counterpart is capable of a 0-60 in 7.3 seconds and tops out at 110 mph.
The RAM 1500 Rebel continues as an available model, getting a new Hellcat-powered variant in 2021 as the RAM Rebel TRX.
Asphalt Xtreme[]
Overview[]
The RAM 1500 Rebel is part of the original line up of cars in Asphalt Xtreme, it was and still is the highest class pickup in terms of starting rank, being a mid Class-S vehicle. The 1500 Rebel starts at a rank of 31, requires 30 blueprints to unlock, costs 250 to change oil, and takes 3 hours for each change.
The RAM 1500 Rebel features slight modifications, a front bulbar with spotlights, a slightly modified rear bumper, a roof rack, and a spare tire attached to the truck bed.
Performance[]
Much like many of the high-end class-S vehicles that existed prior to the Coachella Update, the RAM 1500 Rebel's power has been greatly reduced. What was originally the fastest pickup truck in the game is now crippled by poor acceleration and lackluster top speeds. While the 1500 Rebel is less buggy in comparison to the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2, it has worse acceleration and top speed, and doesn't have any other major statistical advantages to compensate. While capable of airspeed and drift boosting, the power that is gained from drift boosting is unremarkable, but sufficient enough to reach max airspeed. Overall, the combination of mediocre stats and a weak acceleration makes the 1500 Rebel largely uncompetitive in multiplayer as it is easy prey for monster trucks and trucks and lags behind competitive vehicles in the game.
The RAM 1500 Rebel needs no rank up tools to upgrade to level 50. As mentioned before, the 1500 Rebel is mostly crippled by its acceleration from a standstill, giving it a severe disadvantage compared to the Chevrolet 3100 and Chevrolet C10 when attempting to knockdown AI opponents at the start. Like all pickups, the 1500 Rebel is much more tricky to drive, considering the archetype's susceptibility to physics issues and unresponsive handling at high ranks, it is best to drive the 1500 Rebel on airspeed oriented tracks that do not require extreme acceleration or maneuverability. Tracks such as No Man's Land, Dry Plains, Forbidden Oasis, Ancient Relics and Through the Avalanche are decent choices as they have potential for utilizing airspeed benefits but don't require good handling or extreme acceleration, although the 1500 Rebel will still be substantially slower than better pickups such as the 3100, and the best buggies such as Lynx DCC 2016-J and the Polaris RZR XP 1000 EPS.
Speed Modifier Approximation[]
* when using the Land Rover Defender as 100 % benchmark
With the worst speed modifier in the archetype, the RAM 1500 Rebel has a surprisingly low top speed, while it is higher than the Lynx DCC and the Polaris, the buggies have far superior acceleration. The 1500 Rebel also has less top speed than the Colorado ZR2, but has the benefit of being slightly more stable due to its more compact design. Ultimately, even with the aid of Extra Tank, the 1500 Rebel will fall behind when not at max airspeed.
The RAM 1500 Rebel is only useable in solo challenges, essentially rendering it useless for Limited Time Events.
Given all of the negative factors of the RAM 1500 Rebel, it is not an essential car to upgrade to level 50. Pickups generally are not worth upgrading, but the Chevrolet 3100, C10, and GMC Sierra 2500 HD are far better choices.
