Description[]
- Text originally from the Renault Sport website
Renault is restating its passion for motor sports with the Renault Sport R.S. 01, a racing car of spectacular styling and exceptional performance. With a design inspired by the world of concept cars and governed by an absolute pursuit of aerodynamic downforce, Renault Sport R.S. 01 is a radical expression of the brand’s sporting DNA. Its technical specifications reflect the best of Renault Sport expertise. With a carbon monocoque chassis for a weight of approximatively 1,120 kg and an engine developing 550 hp, it is able to reach a top speed of over 300 kph.
The Renault Sport R.S. 01's VR38DETT engine is sourced from the Nissan GT-R (R35), with power at 500 hp (373 kW) and torque at 680 ft·lb (922 N·m). The engine redlines at 6,800 rpm.
The Renault Sport R.S. 01 generates 2646 lb (1200 kg) of downforce at 186 mph (300 km/h).
Asphalt 9: Legends[]
Shortened to Renault R.S. 01, it was added in the European Season Update as a mid-high Class C car with the following rank statistics:
- Stock rank: 2,071 ( 1)
- rank: 2,262
- rank: 2,536 ( 25)
- rank: 2,775 ( 32)
- rank: ? ( 36)
- rank: 3,565 ( 41)
Performance[]
The R.S. 01 has average top speed, acceleration, nitro and handling. At MAX, it has well-rounded performance and is a decent option for multiplayer. However, at 1-2*, where most players will have the R.S. 01 at, it is not a viable choice for multiplayer.
Availability[]
Its key is only available in its own Grand Prix.
Asphalt 8: Airborne[]

Performance (Up-to-date)[]
The Renault Sport R.S. 01 has good acceleration, decent speed for its rank, good handling, decent drifting, and mediocre nitro efficiency.
Overall, the R.S. 01 cannot properly compete with the kings of Class S. The main reason for this is its lack of speed, which puts it at a severe disadvantage for the highest level of competitive play. The R.S. 01 only lacks 1 km/h in comparison to the McLaren Senna, for example (and as much as 1.8 km/h versus the Koenigsegg Jesko), but this seemingly small amount is enough to render the R.S. 01 a second-tier car within the high Class S rank bracket. The R.S. 01 also lacks nitro efficiency, especially in level 2, although its level 3 nitro efficiency is reasonably good.
The R.S. 01 has particularly good handling in certain aspects. The sensitivity is not as high as the McLaren 600LT's, and the precision is not as high as the Senna's. However, the R.S. 01's handling is notable for being very stable over rough terrain, similar to the Lamborghini Sian FKP 37's handling. Like the Sian, the R.S. 01 is particularly good at handling the curved dirt road on The Great Wall, for example, where many other cars, such as the Lamborghini Centenario, have a tendency to skid and fall out of bounds (or simply explode on the spot).
The R.S. 01's acceleration is slightly better than the Senna's (2.6s). The exact value has not been measured; it is perhaps around 2.57s.
Performance (Out-dated)[]
The Renault Sport R.S. 01 rivals the Ferrari Enzo Ferrari, HTT Pléthore LC 750, Zenvo TS1 GT 10th Anniversary Edition, TRION NEMESIS, Icona Vulcano V12 Hybrid, Arash AF10, and Chevrolet 2016 Camaro SS.
The Renault Sport R.S. 01 has a similar performance map built on that of the HTT Pléthore LC 750, but with improved handling and a slightly larger nitro boost. It has a bias towards sharp and oversteer-prone handling, drifting, and raw top speed at the expense of every other nitro aspect, with only marginally faster acceleration than the Camaro SS and poor nitro efficiency. It has a maximum total speed of 312.5 mph/503.2 km/h at MAX+PRO with Tuning Kit, making it the 14th fastest vehicle in terms of total speed.
With its performance buff in the 2020 Summer Update, the Renault Sport R.S. 01 now has faster acceleration and a higher top speed. While it can compete with other cars in the same tier placement, it still suffers from its weak nitro efficiency.
Usage[]
With its speed/handling-biased performance, the Renault Sport R.S. 01 is not recommended for Multiplayer, regardless of the upgrade configuration used. In Events, though, it can dominate in a few brackets where it is the highest-ranking car, especially when handling is a priority. The same cannot be said in general Events, though, due to the affluence of the Aston Martin Vulcan, Apollo Intensa Emozione and 2018 McLaren X2. However, it is the most powerful Renault vehicle, and will be the best choice for Renault-exclusive events.
The Renault Sport R.S. 01 counts towards the Off the Charts collection.
Price[]
The Renault Sport R.S. 01 had an original buying price of 3,850,000; the Multiplayer League Update updated it to 3,500,000 or 16,625 and the Hot Wheels Update or Fall Out Boy Update to 1,950,000 or 9,925. The price was later increased in the 2019 Spring Update to 3,500,000 or 15,000. The Credit price option for the R. S. 01 was removed in the 2019 Holiday Update, thus the car had only Token option to purchase with a price of 15,000.
As of the Fifteenth Anniversary Update, the R.S. 01 can be purchased for 19,000.
The R.S. 01 was a reward for reaching Tier 1 in the Premium Pass of the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport Festival.
The R.S. 01 was made obtainable a second time for Tier 20 with the Premium upgrade in the RAESR Tachyon Speed Festival. Players who already own the car would win 8 Wild Card - Superb instead.
The R.S. 01 was obtainable by reaching Tier 15 or Tier 1 with the premium upgrade in its Car Hunt. Players who already owned the car would get 8x Wild Card - Legendary instead.
As of the Gangstar Season Update, upgrades require 55 of each Legendary Tires, Legendary Suspension, Legendary Drivetrain, and Legendary Exhaust, 60 Legendary Tech, 60 Legendary Engine, 160 Renault Sport R.S. 01 Kit and 10,000,000.
