The Rimac Nevera (originally known as the Rimac C_Two) is an electric hypercar built as the successor to the Rimac Concept One.
Overview[]
“ | ” | |
The Rimac Nevera is an electric sportscar designed by Croatian manufacturer Rimac Automobili. The original Nevera concept was unveiled at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show and named Rimac C_Two, as it was the second car manufactured by the company (after the Rimac Concept One); subsequently, the C_Two was given its current name when it entered production in 2021, with the first production model delivered to 2016 Formula One World Drivers' Champion Nico Rosberg in August 2022. The name "Nevera" comes from the Croatian word for a storm system that is typically accompanied by lightning and mainly occurs in the Adriatic Sea around the coast of Croatia.
The Nevera's exterior is designed by Croatian-born Austrian Adriano Mudri, taking some cues from the Concept One but incorporating new features, such as butterfly doors and an active spoiler. Each of the Nevera's four wheels are powered by an oil-cooled, single-gear electric motor that give a combined power output of 1914 hp (1427 kW) and 2360 ft·lb (3200 N·m) of torque. The Nevera draws power from a lithium/manganese/nickel battery with a capacity of 120 kWh, giving it an advertised maximum range of 647 km (402 mi) on the NEDC cycle and 490 km (300 mi) on the WLTP cycle. The battery can be charged to 80% capacity within 30 minutes when it is connected to a fast charger. An on-board NVIDIA Drive Pegasus supercomputer, capable of processing 6 TB of data per driving hour, combined with a brake-by-wire system, electric power steering and ultrasonic proximity sensors, gives the Nevera autonomous driving capabilities as well as on-track driving assistance.
Rimac provides the following speed test statistics for the Nevera on their official website:
- Top speed: 412 km/h (258 mph)
- 0-100 km/h (0-60 mph): 1.97s (1.74s)
- 0-300 km/h (0-180 mph): 9.22s
The Nevera remains in production as of 2023, with all its 150 planned units, each with a starting price of US$2,050,500, sold out within 3 weeks of the car's launch.
The Pininfarina Battista is built on the same chassis as the Nevera and shares the same production factory.
Asphalt 9: Legends[]
Named as Rimac C_Two prior to the Festive Season Update, the Rimac Nevera was added in the Godly Beasts Update as a high Class S car with the following rank statistics:
- Stock rank: 3,697 ( 1)
- rank: 3,852
- rank: 4,023 ( 40)
- rank: 4,231 ( 45)
- rank: 4,435 ( 60)
- rank: 4,677 ( 70)
- rank: 4,897 ( 85)
A grand total of 42,486,000 is required to fully upgrade the Rimac Nevera from its stock rank: 27,726,000 for all upgrades, 2,520,000 to apply all 28 uncommon import parts, 3,600,000 to apply all 20 rare import parts, and 8,640,000 to apply all 16 epic import parts.
Performance[]
The Rimac Nevera has rapid acceleration (third-fastest in the game and only slower than the Pininfarina Battista and Aspark Owl) and decent drifting speed. Compared to the Bugatti Chiron and the Koenigsegg Jesko, the Rimac has faster acceleration but has a lower top speed than both.
Usage[]
The Rimac Nevera can beat the Chiron on all tracks, but is inferior to the Jesko and SSC Tuatara. Its good acceleration and nitro efficiency give it an edge on technical tracks such as The Caribbean and Osaka.
Availability[]
- Main article: Rimac Nevera (Drive Syndicate)
The Rimac Nevera requires 1 key to be unlocked; the key was first obtainable by earning 1,000,000 during its Drive Syndicate event. Subsequently, the key was made available during its own Elite Grand Prix and the SSC Tuatara's Black Friday event, and can also be obtained from opening limited-time key packs with it as the featured reward.
Asphalt 8: Airborne[]
Summary[]
The Rimac C_Two (renamed to Rimac Nevera in the Garage Life Season Update) was added in the Sixth Anniversary Update as a high Class S car with the following statistics:
- Starting rank: 1645
- MAX rank: 1747 (+102)
- This was changed to 1757 (+112) in the 2020 Halloween Update
- MAX+PRO rank: 1840 (+93)
- This was changed to 1860 (+103) in the 2020 Halloween Update
- Tuning Kit bonus: +55
- Stock to MAX+PRO rank difference: 195
- This was changed to 215 in the 2020 Halloween Update
- Nitro Efficiency: 7.5/11.5/14.5
Performance[]
The Rimac Nevera has a good top speed for its rank, very fast acceleration, poor handling, moderate drifting, and moderate nitro efficiency.
The Nevera is a mediocre car in high Class S. In certain situations, such as at the beginning of Sector 8, it can be quite powerful. However, in general, it has unreliable performance, mainly due to its poor combination of handling and drifting. The Nevera has relatively fast acceleration, though it loses acceleration whilst turning, so it is mainly only useful for straight-line acceleration. The Nevera's handling is very heavy and cumbersome and while its drifting radius is not overly wide, it is hampered by the poor handling. The Nevera's nitro efficiency is below average for high Class S but not terrible nonetheless.
Compared to the Aspark Owl, the Nevera has similar speed, similar acceleration, worse handling, better drifting and significantly worse nitro efficiency. The Owl is overall slightly better than the Nevera due to its nitro efficiency advantage. With that being said, the Nevera accelerates faster than the Owl at the beginning of Sector 8 and perhaps in a handful of other niche situations.
Usage[]
The Nevera is a collector's car as it sees little use in TLEs, only being available for S-Class events if the player does not have a faster vehicle.
Although the Nevera's top speed was increased in the 2020 Halloween Update to the match the cars in the 1860 rank bracket, it still only has an advantage on the forward version Sector 8 as the Koenigsegg Jesko, Lamborghini Centenario LP 770-4, and Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ are better options on other tracks.
Price[]
As of the 2020 Halloween Update, the Rimac Nevera was made purchasable for 3,700,000 which was originally obtainable only through its R&D event. In the 2020 Christmas Update the price was increased to 4,000,000 after its stats were buffed.
