The SCG 003S is a mid-engined supercar by SCG, also known as Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus.
Overview
The Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus SCG 003, formerly known as P 33, is a limited edition supercar manufactured by American boutique car maker Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus LLC. It is the third car commissioned by James Glickenhaus, with Ferrari P4/5 by Pininfarina and P 4/5 Competizione being the first two. Ing. Paolo Garella was project head on all three cars. First announced as P 33 in 2013, SCG 003 was launched in 2015 at the Geneva Motor Show.
The road going model SCG 003S, wherein the S denotes "Stradale" (Street), will be powered by a bespoke 4.4 L (4,439 cc; 270.9 cu in) twin-turbo V8 S63B44T0 developed from the F06/F12/F13 BMW M6 and F10 BMW M5 with an output of 750 hp (559 kW) and 590 ft·lb (800 N·m) of torque enabling the 2866 lb (1300 kg) vehicle to accelerate from a standstill to 60 mph in 3.0 seconds. Due to its aerodynamics, the car achieves a downforce of 1543 lb (700 kg) at a speed of 155 mph (250 km/h). The vehicle is able to achieve lateral acceleration of 2.0 G. The chassis is made from carbon fiber and uses a 7-speed electro-hydraulic sequential dual disc clutch transmission.
The SCG 003S is capable of reaching a speed of up to 217 mph (350 km/h).
Asphalt 9: Legends
The SCG 003S appears as a high-end Class B car with the following rank statistics:
- Starting rank: 2,211 (40 BPs)
- 1* rank: 2,449
- 2* rank: 2,820 (18 BPs)
- 3* rank: 3,193
- 4* rank: 3,509
The SCG 003S requires an additional 110 blueprints for star upgrades. A total of 3,736,720, 24 Common Import Parts, 16 Class Parts, and 8 Specific Parts are required for upgrades.
A Car Hunt for the car was held in the first week of September 2018.
Usage
The SCG 003S has very good top speed, stellar nitro duration (now slightly above average after the Slipstream Update), average acceleration, and bad handling.
The SCG 003S's multiplayer rivals are the Cadillac Cien Concept and the revised Ferrari F12tdf in Class B, the Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 SV and McLaren P1™ in Class A. The SCG 003S can also hold its own against the Lamborghini Centenario LP 770-4, Ferrari FXX K, and Icona Vulcano Titanium when maxed out.
Asphalt 8: Airborne
Summary
The SCG 003S was added in the Fifth Anniversary Update as a high-end Class B car with the following statistics:
- Starting rank: 1447
- This is shared with the Chevrolet SS and Lamborghini Centenario LP 770-4.
- MAX rank: 1603 (+156)
- MAX+PRO rank: 1697 (+94)
- This is the second highest in Class B.
- Tuning Kit bonus: +35
- Stock to MAX+PRO rank difference: 250
- Upgrade rank percentages: 25/25/25/25
- Nitro Efficiency: 6/9/12.5
Performance
The SCG 003S has a maximum total speed of 283.9 mph/457.1 km/h at MAX+PRO with a Tuning Kit, slightly slower than the Lamborghini Asterion and McLaren 570S (both from Class A) with 284.0 mph/457.3 km/h. It also features relatively good acceleration (comparable to the Falcon F7) and a long-lasting nitro duration. The SCG 003S has a mediocre total top speed for high-end Class B standards, being about 8mph/13 km/h slower than the fastest vehicle in Class B, the Mazda RX-8 Special Edition. The SCG 003S has mediocre handling and abysmal drifting, making the SCG 003S extremely reliant on its quick acceleration and the "drift-punching" technique to maneuver around twisty tracks like Dubai. On straighter tracks like The Great Wall, Barcelona, and Rio de Janeiro, the SCG 003S has decent performance.
Within Class B, the SCG 003S possesses the fourth-highest MAX+PRO rank, but it is still easily outrun by the Mazda RX-8 SE and BMW M2 Special Edition, which can both be considered "Top Tier". Some slightly lower-ranked vehicles which can still easily outrun the SCG 003S include the Mercedes-AMG GT3, McLaren MP4/8, Holden Coupe 60, and Ferrari GTC4Lusso. The SCG 003S is roughly tied in performance with the Zenvo ST1, Falcon F7, Lotus Evora Sport 410, Apollo N, Lamborghini Murciélago LP 640, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Coupé Black Series, TVR Sagaris, Lamborghini Estoque, and 2010 Bentley Continental Supersports.
Usage
The SCG 003S is a very expensive vehicle in relation to its performance. Given that it uses a whopping 48x V8 Engines, the SCG 003S should definitely be passed up in exchange for the Holden Coupe 60, which also uses V8 Engines and is available via its Rare Blueprints. If you can afford to upgrade the SCG 003S, and don't have anything better, the SCG 003S can serve decently in Class B TLEs, being generally capable of ranking anywhere from 500 to 1500, despite the hordes of Mazda RX8 SEs and BMW M2 SEs. Due to its high starting rank, the SCG 003S is utterly useless for Multiplayer League (although it would've been half-decent in the experimental "Acceleration-Biased Multiplayer League").
Multiplayer
The SCG 003S is a poor choice for multiplayer due to its high starting rank (albeit not as high as that of the Apollo N) and its aforementioned performance shortcomings. There are only two possible MP tunes for this car:
- 0500 3050 = 430.4 km/h/267.3 mph @ B1521
- 0505 5155 = 453.7 km/h/281.8 mph @ B1598
Price
The SCG 003S is only obtainable through the completion of its Championship event. It was made available from January 31 to April 1, 2019 and from April 19 to 23, 2019 at 10,750.
Upgrades cost 1,586,000 or 9,380 while Pro Kits require 816,200, 17 of each Class B Part, 48 V8 Engines, 18 Early and Initial Techs each, and 24 Mid-Techs.
