The SSC Ultimate Aero XT is an end-of-production version of the SSC Aero hypercar. It was succeeded by the SSC Tuatara in 2017.
The SSC Ultimate Aero XT is a derivative of the SSC Ultimate Aero. It was made to celebrate the end of the Aero series, and only 5 were produced. They were the last SSC Aero products to be released. Its successor is the SSC Tuatara.
The SSC Ultimate Aero XT features an SSC-designed 6.9L (6,941 cc; 423.6 cu in) twin-turbocharged aluminum V8 engine block producing 1300 hp (969 kW) and 1004 ft·lb (1361 N·m) of torque, both at 6,800 rpm. The engine redlines at 9,200 rpm and has a compression ratio of 8.625:1. The Aero XT runs on premium unleaded 91-octane fuel.
The Aero XT uses a 7-speed SMG paddle-shifted gearbox and has a triple disc carbon clutch. The car weighs 2800 lb (1270 kg) and has 44% of its weight distributed towards the front. It is a mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive car with a carbon fiber body using aluminum crash structures. The wheels are forged one-piece allow 19×9.5" front and 20×13" wheels, and the tires are Michelin Pilot Sport PS2s, with the front being 235 35 (YR) 19 and rear being 335 30 (YR) 20. Instrumentation includes a speedometer reading up to 300 mph (483 km/h), a 10,000 rpm tachometer, sequential shift lights, horsepower gauge, oil pressure, water temperature, fuel level, and voltage.
The Aero XT is capable of 0-60 mph in 2.6 seconds, 0-200 mph in 15.65 seconds, and a claimed top speed of 273 mph (440 km/h).
The SSC Ultimate Aero XT was initially given out to the top 100 spots in the SSC Ultimate Aero XT Cup. It was released at the same time as the Jaguar F-Type R, which was given to the top spot in each division in the Jaguar F-Type R DIVISION CUP. Both cars could be purchased in the Aero Premium Pack introduced in the Dubai Update before being made separately purchasable in the Decals Update.
The SSC Ultimate Aero XT is a mid-range Class S car, with a starting rank of 1557. It shares its MAX and MAX+PRO ranks with the Hennessey Venom GT, with 1674 and 1751, respectively. The Aero receives a larger Tuning Kit boost with +36. The SSC Ultimate Aero XT mainly rivals the Chrysler ME412.
The SSC Ultimate Aero XT's main performance specialty is its acceleration, accelerating faster than most cars in its class except for the Lamborghini Egoista, McLaren MP4-31, and TRION NEMESIS; this is due to its high-power nitro. The Aero XT's top speed is also impressive, capable of a real speed of at least 292 mph (471 km/h) at MAX+PRO, lower than the Venom GT at 296 mph (477 km/h). The Aero XT's handling stat can be best described as decent or above-average, but in truth, though, the Aero XT has a slightly wider drifting radius than the Lamborghini Egoista and TRION NEMESIS.
The SSC Ultimate Aero XT could originally only be purchased alongside the Jaguar F-Type R in the expensive Aero Premium Pack. As of the Decals Update, the Aero can now be purchased separately for 6,750. As of the 2019 Spring Update, upgrades cost 2,026,000 while Pro Kits require 674,400, 18 of each Class S Part, 32 Forced-Induction V8s, 36 Mid-Techs, and 24 Advanced Techs.
A largely forgotten car, the SSC Ultimate Aero XT is almost never seen in Events due to the Hennessey Venom GT being superior in overall speed. The Aero, on the other hand, appears in the Brave New World collection and is required for completion of Season 8 of the Career Mode. It is also almost never seen in Multiplayer due to its inferiority to cars like the TRION NEMESIS, Koenigsegg One:1, and McLaren Mercedes MP4-25. Even the best possible Multiplayer tuning for the Aero does not allow it to compete with even the Lotus Evora Sport 410 and Chevrolet 2016 Camaro SS (for below rank 1670).
