The San Diego Harbor update is an update in Asphalt 8: Airborne. It was released on September 17, 2014.

Overview

The San Diego Harbor update was introduced in September 2014, adding a new location and five new cars:

The AI rank bugs from the Dubai update were fixed. Multiplayer events were also introduced; they consist of players playing the event as many times as possible to try to win prizes. The ramp designs on most maps were also reverted back to their original design as opposed to using the one used for The Great Wall. The Dubai tracks were added to Quick Solo Race mode as well.

Exclusive Metal Events

The Exclusive Metal Events released in the San Diego Harbor Update are special events exclusive to the iOS 8 version of Asphalt 8: Airborne.

The Exclusive Metal Events are events that all consist of 24 racers, spanning across almost all locations in the game (with the sole exception of Tokyo). Any lapped race is always one lap long. If the race mode is Elimination, the elimination period will last 10 seconds instead of the usual 30 seconds, which would have made the eventlast almost 12 minutes.

All Exclusive Metal Events give 3,520 Credits for finishing in first place.
