A Season Pass is an event type in Asphalt 8: Airborne. Introduced in the Neon Season Update, Season Passes are based on "Battle Passes" whereby players earn points from completing challenges to complete a tier and achieve rewards.
The main goal of a Season Pass is to collect Mileage Coins in order to claim the rewards, which is gained by completing a level from earning enough XP. XP is earned by completing races and the amount earned is determined by the distance driven during the race. When a level is completed, 8 Mileage Coins are awarded. A daily bonus doubles the base amount of XP earned in a race until 160,000 XP has been awarded.
For certain game modes, an additional multiplier is applied. This is no longer applied upon reaching level 65:
Multiplayer: Based on the player's finishing position
Note: the multiplier may be subjected to change depending on the Season Pass.
First generation[]
The event's rewards are divided into 8 tiers called Pages that are unlocked by either claiming a certain number of rewards or reaching a certain Season Pass level. Similar to Festivals, purchasing the Premium Pass for the event unlocks additional rewards to be purchased (indicated by the green lock symbol). Rewards for the Season Pass include Credits, Fusion Coins, Boosters, inventory slots, avatar icons & outfits, decals, class-specific Upgrades (class-specific Direct Upgrades from the Golden Season Update onwards), Wild Cards, vehicle-specific Kit Cards (prior to the Gangstar Vegas Season), Pro Kit Cards, Pro Kit Coupons (prior to the Gangstar Vegas Season), Ultimate Upgrades (prior to the Garage Life Season), Master Key (from the Golden Season Update onwards until the Garage Life Season), a featured car (prior to the Golden Season) and other bonus vehicles. If the player has any leftover Mileage Coins when a Season Pass ended, a number of Fusion Coins will be awarded.
Note: Vehicles rewarded in the Premium Pass section have their page denoted in golden.
On March 30, 2023, Season Pass is now called "Racing Pass" and a new format was introduced. Like the previous iteration, rewards are divided into 8 tiers called Pages that are unlocked by either claiming a certain number of rewards or reaching a certain Season Pass level, but only part cards, tech cards, engine cards, Wild Cards and vehicle-specific kit cards for featured cars were rewarded. Vehicle-specific kit cards for featured cars can only be obtained by purchasing the Premium Pass, although the cars themselves are not awarded.
From the Racing Pass 4 onwards, cars can now be obtained along with the kit cards in the Premium Pass.
From the Racing Pass 12 onwards, rewards in Premium section now include Ultimate Upgrade, Direct Upgrades of each class, Fusion Coins, Credits, Avatar Set, Inventory Slots, Master Key, Dodge Tomahawk and 4 bonus cars (3 in the case of Racing Pass 12), in addition to Parts, Techs, Engines and Wild Cards (Techs and Engines along with Master Key were removed from the Racing Pass 15 onwards). This is almost identical to pre-Racing Pass introduction
From the Racing Pass 25 onwards, Tokens, Multiplayer Badges, Props, Normal Dice have been included while Discount Coupon and Kit Cards for the featured cars have been returned as rewards in the Premium section
