There are few cars in modern cinema as iconic as the custom 1967 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Eleanor from Dominic Sena's 2000 blockbuster film Gone in 60 Seconds. The “Eleanor” is something of a reinterpretation of the 1967 Mustang Shelby GT500 that was designed specifically for the movie by Steve Stanford and Chip Foose. Five examples were built for shooting, and only three are said to still be in circulation today.
Asphalt 7: Heat[]
Shortened to Ford Shelby GT500, the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Eleanor is a high-end Tier 1 car. It can be unlocked by winning the Cup 1.
The Ford Shelby GT500's main disadvantage is weak handling. Compared to its main rival, the BMW 1 Series M Coupe, it has worse handling with heavy understeer and a wide drifting radius. It accelerates very quickly, although its launch acceleration is somewhat slower than the Nissan Juke NISMO. However, it does have a much more higher top speed than the Juke NISMO, as well as hitting higher average speeds overall, allowing it to hit higher speeds more effectively.
In multiplayer, however, the Tesla Roadster is usually a better choice owing to the fact that the GT500 Eleanor is easily beaten by common cars in its performance range, such as other GT500 Eleanors, Juke NISMOs or the occasional BMW X6 M. Also, as with the X6 M, the car faces serious competition from the Tesla Roadster at higher upgrade stages. Should this car be used in multiplayer, it is often recommended to pick speed-oriented tracks, such as Reykjavik or Rio de Janeiro, instead of tracks like Hawaii or Havana.
