Special Project

Introduced in the Asphalt Xtreme Alps Update, Special Projects serves as the Asphalt Xtreme equivalent of Research & Development

Overview[]

All Special Projects only have 3 levels: Research, Development, and Manufacture.
There are no Quality Checks to collect.
A Special Project is available for a limited time of 10 days
Each race has the main goal of finishing in 1st and 2 tasks that have to be completed in order to advance; the latter have a minimum finish position of 3rd place.
Fuses are used instead of Proto Keys.
- Fuses take 4 hours to be restocked instead of 3.
- Video ads can be watched to instantly refill Fuses.
Vehicle Blueprints are awarded instead of Boxes and/or Free Upgrades.
- Upgrades for the vehicle are also significantly more expensive during the event to balance out the upgrades being instantly installed (there are no waiting times for upgrades in Special Projects)
  - Upgrade prices revert back to the original for each Class when the Special Project is completed.
The "Ultimate AI Challenge" uses a live opponent instead of a ghost; it is possible to knockdown the rival car and gain an advantage when the rival car is wrecked.
