Game changes
Gameplay changes

- Pass Subscriptions have been added.
- Boosters:
- Boosters now have 11 different durations to choose from.
- Tuning Kits now cost instead of .
- Boosters now can only be activated when the player has an internet connection.
- Extra Tanks earned and stored in the Inventory during previous Updates have been reduced by half and now last for 8 hours instead of 4.
- There is no fixed number in the deduction, however, there is an approximate rate of 50%. The initial number of stored Extra Tanks varies by the player and the deduction will always subtract approximately 50% of the total supply that was stored by the player prior to the Update.
- The maximum number of Extra Tanks that can be stored in the Inventory is 200 units.
- The maximum number of Nitro Starters and Tuning Kits that can be stored in the Inventory is 100 units each.
- Ads for 1-race Nitro Starters and Tuning Kits were removed. They were replaced by ads for 5-min Nitro Starters which, however, do not appear regularly and do not work most of the time (Android) as no video is shown.
- Bundles:
- A Weekly VIP Bundle (4.9.0) † and a Booster Bundle have been added.
- Paid bundles now include more boosters.
- Champion Daily Bundle (4.9.0) †: The Random Box 1 has been removed.
- Upgrades:
- can be used to purchase an Upgrade. The price charged is the same as the credits cost.
- prices for upgrades were removed (except for -only upgrades).
- Vehicles:
- The maximum speed of the Pagani Huayra BC was greatly buffed on 22 April 2020 on Windows (and on similar dates on other platforms). The speed-buff occurred when a sale began simultaneously. After this date, the Huayra BC's performance was similar to the McLaren Senna and McLaren 600LT at rank S1860 with a maximum speed of 315.4 mph (507.9 km/h) and all-around good performance (i.e. acceleration, handling, drifting and nitro efficiency). The Huayra BC qualified as one of the top ten vehicles in the game and could rival the Lamborghini Centenario LP 770-4 and Koenigsegg Jesko, the kings of the game at the time.
- + rank increased from S1803 to S1860
- Fully upgraded top speed increased from 428.8 km/h to 443.8 km/h
- Fully upgraded nitro speed decreased from 49.7 km/h to 49.3 km/h
- Fully upgraded acceleration has been improved
- Drift radius has been adjusted
- However, the maximum speed of the Huayra BC was reverted to its previous state on 28 April 2020 on Android (upon launching the Formula E Update). The Huayra BC's previous maximum speed (current on Android) was 305.6 mph (492.1 km/h) at rank S1803, placing it as a mid-tier Class S vehicle with performance comparable to the Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 SV. As of 28 April 2020, the Huayra BC's speed-buff remains in place on Windows and IOS.
- On 29 April 2020 on the Gameloft Forums, Asphalt 8: Airborne community manager AndreeaFromGameloft confirmed that S1860 is the correct rank of the Huayra BC and that the reversion to S1803 was unintentional and will be fixed for Android players.

Bugs / Glitches
- Stunt rendering crash: On Windows, if the game's Effect setting is set to Low, it will crash whenever a motorbike performs a stunt within the range where the player's surroundings are fully rendered. The workaround for this issue is to play the game with the Effect setting set to Medium, High, or Extreme.
