The Mercedes-AMG C-Coupé DTM is a race car designed by Mercedes-Benz for the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM) championship. It is based on the Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG.
Description[]
The Mercedes-AMG C-Coupé DTM is the successor to the Mercedes-Benz C-Klasse which was permanently retired after the 2011 season. The AMG C-Coupé DTM is based on the Mercedes-Benz C-Coupé. Mercedes-Benz chose the IAA International Motor Show in Frankfurt to present the new 2012 DTM AMG Mercedes C-Coupé. The new car is the successor to the AMG Mercedes C-Class, which scored 84 victories in 156 races to become the most successful vehicle in the 27-year history of the DTM. HWA AG began development, design and construction of the DTM AMG Mercedes C-Coupé in June 2010. The first chassis was assembled in June 2011, with the first vehicle completed in August.
The DTM AMG Mercedes C-Coupé was designed to meet the new and improved safety concept for 2012, which includes a state-of-the-art carbon fibre monocoque and a roll cage made of high strength steel. In order to improve driver protection in the event of an accident, all safety-related components such as the fire extinguishing system and fuel tank have been incorporated into the monocoque. Furthermore, each vehicle is equipped with six crash structures to give the driver additional protection to the front, rear and sides. These carbon fibre crash structures are designed to gradually absorb impact energy, so that the driver is not exposed to high deceleration forces.
The new safety concept was developed jointly by rights holder and promoter ITR e.V., the DMSB and the three manufacturers – Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz. In order to verify the performance of the DTM safety concept, the DMSB developed a test programme, which was carried out and analyzed by DEKRA, the independent testing organization. All tests were completed without any problems.
The new DTM AMG Mercedes C-Coupé is based on the latest Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupé, which celebrated its world premiere in summer 2011. The C-Class Coupé rounds off Mercedes-Benz's best-selling range and is offered with a choice of five engines – two diesel and three petrol units – developing from 115 kW (156 hp) to 225 kW (306 hp). The C-Class Coupé is manufactured at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Bremen. It’s the fourth model to be built on a single production line alongside the saloon and estate versions, plus GLK – a new production method for Daimler.

Summary[]
The Mercedes-AMG C-Coupé DTM, renamed to Mercedes-AMG C 63 Coupe Touring Car 2014, was added in the Enduro Update as a high Class A car with the following statistics:
- Starting rank: 1313
- MAX rank: 1593 (+280)
- MAX+PRO rank: 1754 (+161)
- Tuning Kit bonus: +54
- Stock to MAX+PRO rank difference: 441
- Speed Multiplier: 99.94%
- Nitro Efficiency: 7/12/17
The Mercedes-AMG C 63 Coupe Touring Car 2014's main rivals in Class A are the Ferrari 330 P4, Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4, Chevrolet Corvette C3, Sbarro Alcador, McLaren 675LT, Mosler GT3, Bentley EXP10 Speed 6, Jaguar XJ220S, and Aston Martin One-77.
As of the Fifteenth Anniversary Update, the C 63 Coupe is now a mid Class A car. As of the Hot Winter Season Update, it was changed to a low Class C car.
Performance[]
v2.5[]
The Mercedes-AMG C 63 Coupe Touring Car 2014 specializes in acceleration and drifting. It has a low raw top speed and a moderately high total top speed within Class A, with a moderately large nitro stat. The C 63 Coupe also has decent handling and nitro efficiency.
Overall, the C 63 Coupe's performance for its rank can be described as being similar to the performance of the Aston Martin Vulcan, Pagani Huayra, and Pagani Zonda R.
The C 63 Coupe is one of the fastest-accelerating Mercedes-Benz cars, roughly tieing with the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren 722 Edition and Mercedes-AMG GT3. Among all Class A vehicles, the C 63 Coupe has the second-best acceleration, beaten only by the McLaren Mercedes MP4-25 and matched by the Bentley EXP10 Speed 6.
The C 63 Coupe's drifting radius is superb, even beating the McLaren Mercedes MP4-25. However, the Mosler GT3 has a better drifting radius, within the mid-high-end Class A cars.
Within the mid-high-end Class A cars, the C 63 Coupe is not the most competitive car, due to its mediocre speed and nitro efficiency. However, the C 63 Coupe can partially compensate for this with its combination of superb acceleration and drifting.
Usage[]
Multiplayer[]
At or near with double boosts, the Mercedes-AMG C 63 Coupe Touring Car 2014's primary rival is the SSC Tuatara, with the occasional appearance of a McLaren Mercedes MP4-25, Rezvani Beast X, and Ford GT (2017). The C 63 can reliably beat the Tuatara due to its slightly better overall stats, but cannot match the MP4-25, Beast X, and Ford GT in most respects and will usually lose races to them.
These are the optimal non- multiplayer tunes for the Mercedes-AMG C 63 Coupe Touring Car 2014:
- MAX 0500 PRO 5050 = Rank 1506 (442.1 km/h; 274.5 mph)
- MAX 0504 PRO 5050 = Rank 1585 (459.1 km/h; 285.0 mph)
The C 63 Coupe mainly competes with the McLaren MP4/8, Holden Coupe 60, Lamborghini Estoque, Mercedes-AMG GT3, Lotus Evora Sport 410, Lamborghini Asterion, and McLaren 675LT.
In multiplayer, it is a decent choice, being capable of achieving a rating of around 1800-1900 points. The C 63 Coupe relies mainly on its superb acceleration and drifting, as well as its above-average speed.
The C 63 Coupe can either be used at its MAX+PRO rank, where it performs better than most other cars of similar rank, losing by a small margin only to high-end Class S cars, or tuned to around ranks 1450-1600, where it stands a higher chance of winning races.
Unfortunately, the C 63 Coupe is very difficult to obtain, let alone obtain with a Multiplayer tune. Its R&D is extremely difficult to complete with the C 63 Coupe tuned below rank 1600, making the car virtually impossible to tune for multiplayer unless the player is extremely skilled or pays (either to pass the R&D or to purchase the car whenever it is on sale).Other[]
v2.5[]
In TLEs, the Mercedes-AMG C 63 Coupe Touring Car 2014 is an excellent option if the player does not have any of the extremely good Class A cars; notably, the BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage, SIN R1, Icona Vulcano V12 Hybrid, McLaren Mercedes MP4-25, Rezvani Beast Alpha, Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport, Mercedes-Benz SLK 55 AMG Special Edition, Ford GT (2017), and Lamborghini Terzo Millennio.
The C 63 Coupe can accomplish lap-times that are slightly worse than those of the McLaren 675LT, especially on shorter tracks. However, in MPEs, the C 63 Coupe is definitely the superior choice, due to its quicker acceleration. This can allow the player to get an early lead, which can give them more control over the nitro pickups in the map. The quicker acceleration also makes it easier to knock other players down. In MPEs with tracks like Sector 8 or Dubai, the C 63 Coupe can be considered as the third-best Class A car. The only car that can consistently defeat the C 63 Coupe on these maps is the McLaren Mercedes MP4-25; the SIN R1 also has a high chance of defeating the C 63 Coupe. The Ferrari 330 P4 performs similarly in these situations.
Despite not being featured in any collections or in Career Mode, the Mercedes-AMG C 63 Coupe Touring Car 2014 has an excellent Season 9 race located in Westminster Bridge, London, which has a payout of around 11,400−11,600 per race, with 0 VIP levels and a Double Credits Booster activated and a lap time of around 48-52 seconds.
Price[]
The Mercedes-AMG C 63 Coupe Touring Car was originally only obtainable from its R&D event. It costed 10,000 when available for a limited time. As of the 2020 Halloween Update, the C 63 Coupe can be purchased for 2,100,000.
As of the Hot Winter Season Update, upgrades require 55 of each Uncommon Tires, Uncommon Suspension, Uncommon Drivetrain, and Uncommon Exhaust, 60 Uncommon Tech, 160 Mercedes-AMG C 63 Coupe Touring Car 2014 Kit and 6,000,000.
The C 63 Coupe was part of the 47th Multiplayer Season, Spring Fling Season 4, as a Champion League reward. Players who already own the car would win a Free Class A Upgrade instead.

Research & Development[]
The Mercedes-Benz C 63 Coupe Touring Car 2014's R&D was first held on June 24, 2016, after the Weber Faster One's EDD event.
The R&D was revived on the following dates:
- July 29, 2017
- It wa suspended after two days, possibly due to a glitch where some players would receive a free ED Design Torq, 100, and 25,000 automatically upon starting the R&D. The event was resumed on August 1, 2017, but the glitched rewards were confiscated. It was reported that Labs 003 and 004 were still locked but players who did not participate in the R&D during its glitch period were given an additional 3 days to join.
- January 4, 2019, in the Holiday Update, as part of an Asphalt Moments series.
- March 21, 2020, in the 2020 Spring Update, also as part of an Asphalt Moments series.
