v4.7[]
- As the final Ultimate AI has a rank restriction of 1782, a minimum tune of [5545 5050] is required. This requires 2,765,000, 7,500, 1,860,000, 46 V12 Engines, 24 Mid-Techs, and 26 Advanced Techs.
- As there are now no free upgrades in this event, the Extra Horses, Glimpse into the Future, New Wave, Retro and Off the Charts collections should be completed to upgrade the Apollo IE. A total of 22 Class S free upgrades can be obtained from the 5 collections for the Intensa’s 4 TOUs.
- Glimpse into the Future is the cheapest to complete (even with the McLaren P1™ and the Ferrari LaFerrari's increased prices) and gives 4 upgrades to cover the Intensa's Level 5 upgrades.
- Buying the P1™ and LaFerrari costs 4,500 but completing the collection saves 5,500.
- The other collections require either Blueprints, , or significantly higher upgrade costs.
- Glimpse into the Future is the cheapest to complete (even with the McLaren P1™ and the Ferrari LaFerrari's increased prices) and gives 4 upgrades to cover the Intensa's Level 5 upgrades.
v3.6[]
- There are 4 free upgrades given in the R&D, given out at Tests .003., .009., .019., and .027.
- Before attempting Test .003., install Top Speed Level 2 ( 154,000 or 1,010) and use the free upgrade on Top Speed Level 3 (Token-only upgrade).
- Before attempting Test .009., install Top Speed Level 4 ( 397,750 or 2,515) and use the free upgrade on Top Speed Level 5 (Token-only upgrade).
- Repeat when at Tests .018. and .026. with Nitro Levels 3 and 5, respectively.
- To complete the event, a minimum tune of [0505 4050] is required. This requires 1,821,675 (plus proper use of the Free Upgrades given in the R&D), 21 V12 Engines, 28 Mid-Techs, and 10 Advanced Techs.
- An alternate tune for players with less skills is [3505 5050], which requires 447,425 more, 3 more V12 Engines, and 4 more Advanced Techs.
- If the player is planning on upgrading the car to MAX+PRO from the minimum required tune, the player must have at least 4,715 and 562,650 ready for the MAX upgrades, as well as 1,380,350, 27 more V12 Engines, 6 more mid techs and 18 more Advanced Techs for the rest of the Pro Kits.
- Players who participated in the Pagani Huayra BC's R&D can open any unopened boxes from that event to acquire Pro Kit Cards (esp. V12 Engines) for the Apollo IE.
- Unless the player is trying to MAX+PRO the vehicle, upgrading the handling is generally unnecessary due to its sharp steering.
- As this R&D is based on the one for the Pagani Huayra BC, which in turn is based on the one for the Arash AF10, many of the same tips and warnings for these events also apply here.
- Unlike these two R&Ds, there aren't as many No Wrecks subgoals in Lab .004.
- Be careful of Test .007. (Nevada Reverse, Infected), as if an Infection Overload occurs, finishing first becomes much more difficult, so always make sure to avoid being infected at all or if an infection needs to occur, it should occur towards the end of the race.
- Test .057. is an Infected race that features two race time goals. As with Test .042. in the R&D events for the Lotus Evora Sport 410 and Mazda RX-8 Special Edition, time is not displayed on the top right corner of the HUD unlike other races which have "Beat a Race Time of ##:##:###" as a main/secondary goal. Care must be taken for time elapsed if one wants to avoid wasting keys, which means the player must avoid being infected in the first lap or avoid wrecking more than once.
Trivia[]
- This R&D is the last one with a Time Attack test (excluding motorcycle R&Ds).
- This R&D is one of only two R&Ds with an Infected test in the first Lab, with the other being the one for the Lamborghini Huracán.
- This is one of few R&D events where neither "Collect Quality Checks" nor "Finish at least THIRD" appear as main goals, with the other one being the one for the Huayra BC.
