The Team Fordzilla P1 is a virtual racing concept car developed by Team Fordzilla esports Gaming team and Ford Motor Company.
Description[]
Text originally from Team Fordzilla's page.
Team Fordzilla is Ford’s first ever esports team, building on its real-world racing heritage by competing at the highest level on the virtual racing stage.
Launched at Gamescom 2019, Team Fordzilla was originally made up of five market teams: Germany, Spain, Italy, France and UK. Top players were recruited from across Europe at various key gaming events, with the Team Captains leading the process.
Following an incredibly successful first couple of years, it is important to continue the journey and keep positive momentum. As such, going into 2022 Team Fordzilla have restructured the team to put a real focus on their core platforms, in order to enable further growth and development, whilst still keeping their close relationships with the local markets. For more information on the team, check out our ‘Meet the Team’ page.
Ford is continually exploring digital and real-world synergies and believes gaming could help shape how we all get about in future, for business or pleasure, as passengers and drivers.
It was this exploration of the real and virtual crossover that inspired the Team Fordzilla P1 project, the no-holds barred virtual race car that has been designed in collaboration between Ford designers and the gaming community.
Asphalt Legends Unite (formerly Asphalt 9: Legends)[]
Named as Ford Team Fordzilla P1, it was added in the Festive Sparks and Dragon Race Update as a high Class A car with following statistics:
- Stock Rank: 3,259 (
70)
rank: 3,431
rank: 3,632 (
23)
rank: 3,817 (
27)
rank: 4,061 (
36)
rank: 4,306 (
52)
rank: 4,548 (
59)
Performance[]
The Team Fordzilla P1 is much like a Class A version of the SCG 003S. It has a good top speed, stellar nitro duration and acceleration, but abysmal handling.
Using the Fordzilla P1 in multiplayer will have mixed results. Its struggles on technical tracks like The Caribbean where the Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta and Pagani Huayra BC are better options. On speed-oriented tracks like the Himalayas, the Fordzilla P1 has good utility with its high top speed in Slipstream Mode but still requires skilled gameplay to manage its handling.
Availability[]
It was initially available from its Black 17-themed (Phonk records label) Special Event from January 24, 2024 to February 20, 2024.
Starting from the Carnival Rush Update for a period of 6 months,
- Its
Blueprints are available in the Gold, Platinum & Legend Card Packs, that can be found in Milestone, End-of-league and Triumph rewards.
- 1x of its Epic Import Part is available in the Epic Import Parts Pack.
Asphalt 8: Airborne[]
The Team Fordzilla P1 was added in the Ninth Anniversary Update as a high Class A car with following statistics:
- Starting rank: 1416
- PRO rank: 1771 (+355)
- Tuning Kit bonus: +53
- Nitro Efficiency: ?/11/13.5
Performance & Usage[]
In comparison to other 1770 rank vehicles, the Team Fordzilla P1's main strengths are its handling, drift radius, and level 3 nitro efficiency. While it has quick acceleration (being roughly the same as the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse), the Chevrolet Camaro SS Independence Edition will be a tough competitor with its rapid acceleration.
Price & availability[]
The Team Fordzilla P1 was obtainable by reaching Tier 1 with the Premium Upgrade in its Festival.
The Team Fordzilla P1 was obtainable again in the following events:
- its Special Event by reaching 85 Conditions.
