The Trick-or-Treat (Pumpkins Hunt) was a Prop Hunt event for Asphalt 8: Airborne as part of the 2024 Halloween Update. It was held on the following dates:
- October 25 - November 9, 2024
Description[]
The objective of the event is to collect rewards by exchanging pumpkins on a board, or on a 
Halloween Lucky Box. The number of Pumpkins required to obtain a reward is fixed on each reward.
Players receive 4 free Pumpkins per day. Additional Pumpkins can be obtained by the following methods:
- buying for
2,000 (for 900 Pumpkins, with a purchase limit of 2, only available between October 25 - 27 and November 1 - 3, 2024) - buying for 50 (for 550 Pumpkins, with a purchase limit of 1) or 100 (for 1200 Pumpkins, with a purchase limit of 1)
- buying various in-app purchase bundles
- earning by watching ads (6 each, limited to 3 per day)
- collecting in the dedicated Time-limited events (if the player exceeded the amount of Pumpkins that can be obtained per day, this option is greyed out).
There are a total of 2 Time-limited events, each event was available for 6 days. In these events, Pumpkins would appear on the track, and were collected by driving through them, similar to R&D's Quality Checks. After the race ended, the player was offered a chance to watch an ad to increase the number of Pumpkins collected by 6. Only one ad could be watched after each race, and after the player watched 3 ads per day, the option would no longer be offered. There are 3 types of Pumpkins in this kind of TLE:
- Good Pumpkin: displayed as a pink pumpkin. If collected, it will count towards the number of Pumpkins required for exchanging rewards
- Neutral Pumpkin: displayed as a dark blue pumpkin. If collected, the player's vision will be temporary impaired
- Aggressive Pumpkin: displayed as a green pumpkin. If collected, the player's car will instantly wreck
After a certain amount of days the board would reset to a new board with different rewards. The Time-limited events course would also change every 6 days. The number of Pumpkins that the player hasn't spent on the previous reward board will be carried over to the next board, until the event ends.
If the player opened a certain amount of Halloween Lucky Box, the player will receive a reward in the Trick-or-Treat Lucky Box Top-Up.
If the player has leftover Pumpkins when the event ends, the Pumpkins will be nulled and cannot be used in future events.
