The Ultima RS is latest model released on the Ultima sports cars line up.
Description[]
- Text originally taken from the RS' page on Ultima Sports' website.
Ultima Sports Ltd has pushed the Ultima legacy to its highest point ever with the launch of the new Ultima RS. This new flagship model is a supercar that’s overwhelmingly capable, delivering the fastest, most sophisticated, stylish and most advanced performance package to date. The Ultima RS is the crowning glory of 35 years of successful Ultima history and the finest expression of Ultima’s core DNA.
The commandingly aggressive stance with its muscular and timeless Group C Le Mans inspired lines to the extensive use of carbon fibre, the new Ultima RS was designed with one purpose in mind: performance. From the stunningly crafted roof scoop, carbon-fibre side splitters and sculpted front splitter which both feature intelligently integrated vortex generators, to the new swan neck top mounted full width carbon fibre rear wing option – each is meticulously crafted to reduce weight. Their shapes are every bit as functional as they are stunning and each has been honed to perfection as a result of extensive testing in MIRA’s full size wind tunnel.
Unfiltered and instinctive. At its heart can be found the latest Chevrolet V8 LT euro 6 compliant direct fuel injection powerplant options - ranging from the 480bhp LT1, 650bhp LT4 and 800bhp supercharged LT5 (as seen in the factory demo car). Finally, the new supercharged LT5 powerplant can be further tuned to a hypercar power capability of up to a staggering 1200bhp. Vitally, the chassis and controls communicate so vividly with the driver that you can truly exploit the extraordinary performance potential.
In terms of the design, the Ultima RS has been focused on increasing downforce and aerodynamic performance as well as increasing cooling and airflow. This can be seen in the striking design and in the extensive range of new aerodynamic elements such as the integrated chassis-mounted front splitter, front dive planes, quad wheel arch vents, vortex generators, NACA ducts, aggressive side scoops and large diffuser at the rear.
Extra cooling for the powertrain and brakes is realised by means of the additional air channels in the nose, rear fenders and roof. The design of the front canopy reduces the frontal area to a minimum and also adds a lower co-efficient of drag, at the same time controlling air flow over the leading edge and maintaining a boundary layer over most surfaces. All of these factors contribute towards providing the Ultima RS with a handling balance and finesse never witnessed before. Total downforce and the ability to shift the aerodynamic balance front or rear are the guiding principles. These elements create the optimal dynamic attributes to produce the ultimate driver’s car.
The new Ultima RS has the overall performance capability to surpass all previous world-beating track times and performance statistics set by the previous generation Ultima cars. In celebrated Ultima tradition the RS has the potential to outrun every other road going hypercar on the planet, a clean sweep of every production road car world speed record is not a pipe dream with the formidable Ultima RS.
Asphalt Legends Unite (formerly Asphalt 9: Legends)[]
The Ultima RS was added in the British Tour Season Update as a mid-ranked Class S car with the following rank statistics:
- Stock rank: 3,483 ( 1)
- rank: 3,637
- rank: 3,814 ( 40)
- rank: 4,002 ( 45)
- rank: 4,197 ( 60)
- rank: 4,423 ( 70)
- rank: 4,644 ( 85)
Performance[]
At its stock rank, the Ultima RS has a top speed rating of 402, above average acceleration rating (75.70), average handling rating (50.19) with a tight drift radius, and an average nitro efficiency rating (47.09). The RS is characterised by its good top speed for its rank and soft suspension, the latter of which is very similar to the Hennessey Venom F5, allowing it to maintain its speed around corners through the use of 360 "floaties" and drift-punching mid-turn despite it having stiff steering. Although the RS has decent stock acceleration, its nitro efficiency is somewhat lacking—at low speeds, the Ultima will deplete a full nitro bar on shockwave before it gets up to a speed where its acceleration kicks in.
Upgrades to the Ultima RS give the greatest improvements to its nitro efficiency, followed by its handling, then acceleration, with the least improvements to its top speed. The RS's handling upgrades give a noticeable improvement to its ability to maintain its speed during normal steering, while also tightening its drift radius such that it can enter sharp hairpins at high speed and drift through them without hitting a wall. The RS's acceleration also sees moderate improvements and can now be felt at lower speeds which, combined with the enhanced nitro efficiency from upgrades, allows the RS to reach its top speed from a near-standstill when it activates shockwave on a full nitro bar.
Availability[]
The Ultima RS must be unlocked with a key, initially obtainable only through its Special Event; this requires the player to complete all 400 conditions in the Special Event, which requires the RS to be starred up to at least , the McLaren P1™ to be starred up to at least , and the remaining featured cars of the British Tour Season to be starred up to at least .
Blueprints for the Ultima RS can be obtained at random during the Passport Events held during the British Tour Season, as well as from a limited-time pack with it as the featured car, which was available for the duration of the RS's Special Event. Up to 40 blueprints are also guaranteed if the player participates in its Special Event.
Outside of its Special Events, 1 was available for free in the British Tour Season Legend Pass, and an additional 5 blueprints could be obtained via an in-app purchase.
The Ultima RS's key, blueprints and epic import parts could be obtained from its Special Hunt, held from January 15-24, 2024, with the condition that the car had to be upgraded to MAX within the event.
Asphalt 8: Airborne[]
The Ultima RS was added in the 2022 Lunar New Year Update as a high Class S car with following stats:
- Stock rank: 1596
- PRO rank: 1861 (+265)
- Tuning Kit bonus: +55
- Nitro Efficiency: 8/11/15
Performance[]
The Ultima RS is a hybrid Festival car. Tested at 5555 upgrades, it has good handling, good drifting, and mid-tier nitro efficiency. The Ultima RS has excellent acceleration (around the same as the Lamborghini Centenario but significantly behind the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+), based on tests performed by A8 YouTuber Cars On!. The Ultima RS has a high total top speed and a normal raw top speed (TS without nitro) at full-PRO.
The Ultima RS is a quasi-king of the game. It's not a perfect king, and it is certainly outclassed by the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+, Pininfarina Battista, Bugatti Bolide, and Koenigsegg Jesko, all of which are unofficially regarded as "Tier 1" cars. With that being said, it is able to hold its own against the Lamborghini Sián FKP 37, Bugatti Divo, Bugatti La Voiture Noire, Bugatti Centodieci, and McLaren Senna, all of which are unofficially regarded as "Tier 2" cars, making it another Tier 2 car overall. The Ultima RS shares characteristics between both "accelerator" types (like the Divo) and "support" types (like the Senna). Due to the shared characteristics, the Ultima RS is the best choice for time-limited events that take place on Orbital Loop tracks, which it has the world records for.
