Underglow is a customization feature in Asphalt Street Storm Racing. Like all customizations, underglow is purely aesthetic and does not affect performance.
Underglows are treated as items that can be bought with 
Cash or obtained from Gift Boxes. Underglows from Gift Boxes are stored in the player's inventory and can be sold for Cash.
Equipping an underglow always costs Cash. Also, once an underglow from Gift Boxes is equipped, it disappears from the inventory and must be acquired again if another underglow has been equipped afterwards or if the player wants to use it for another vehicle.

Underglows are always generic. The first gray underglow is the "no-underglow ". Equipping it removes any previously equipped underglow and is free.

As underglows are only granted by the rarer Silver and Gold Gift Boxes, they are quite rare as well.
The statistical drop rate of underglows in general is 3.05 % (weighted average based on 5,799 items from the 3 most common boxes), but specific underglows all have an average drop rate between 0.5 and 1 %.
