Overview

Asphalt Xtreme

The Unimog U 4023 is a Class D Truck. It is customized with a bull bar and headlights attached to the roof. It requires 10 Blueprints to unlock. Oil changes takes 8 minutes to complete and costs Ax credits full 150.

Performance

The Unimog, as with all trucks of its archetype, has extremely slow acceleration, a very low top speed and below average handling, but can ram through walled shortcuts and has an extremely strong and durable nitro to compensate. One trait that makes this truck particular from the others of its archetype is its all-in nitro being one of the most powerful, and if not the most powerful of the game. Once the all-in is triggered, the acceleration of the Unimog is severely increased, this can be even more extreme if triggered as a drift-boost. Combined with the long lasting nitro and the large recovery of it when destroying obstacles or dealing knockdowns, the Unimog can become an almost unstoppable machine able to maintain the all-in for the entirety of the laps, especially on straight tracks like the Alps or Nepal. It also has the highest speed modifier of the game, being ~104,4%. Its ability to perform powerful drift-boosts also allows it to perform sharper turns and to reach its maximum air speed from a ramp if timed right. However, since it is a Truck, its poor handling makes it struggle in twisty tracks, and the abysmal nitro recovery from cruising and drifting forces it to rely on the environment to keep its nitro full.

At lvl 50, it rivals the Perlini 105F Red Tiger as one of the most popular trucks in the game. The stronger all-in acceleration, slightly better handling and stronger drift-boost can quickly outpace the Perlini. However, the Perlini has a slightly higher max speed than the Unimog, which means the Perlini can catch up on straight tracks with multiple laps. While the Perlini has the ability to drift-boost, it isn't as efficient as the Unimog's, plus its larger body can prove more problematic especially in the tight drifts of Detroit where the Unimog's smaller length can sometimes save it from hitting a wall and losing speed and/or control.

It is required for a Stars full ax Star goal in the following career races:
