A Classic race with an extra rule: No nitro power-ups on the track!
In-game description
A8A Unplugged info

Unplugged basics, Asphalt 8: Airborne.

Unplugged, also known as No nitro (according to the in-game data), is a race type similar to Classic in Asphalt 8: Airborne.

Overview[]

Unplugged takes the form of a Classic race with another rule: all nitro pickups have been erased from the track, forcing the player to rely on other means to refill nitro.

Lap times in Unplugged races are generally slower than Classic races due to the need to conserve nitro more often, especially in tracks like Tokyo, Iceland, and Azure Coast.

Unplugged Info

Unplugged info as stated in Asphalt 8: Airborne.

The game mode was added in the Car Mastery Update, along with Flawless. It is available in Car Mastery, Research & Development, and Enduro Double Down. It is not selectable in Quick Solo Race.

Trivia[]

  • In Research & Development mode, sometimes the scientists would claim that they disabled the player's nitro system of the vehicle being developed. However, the nitro system can still be used during a Unplugged race.
