The Vanda Electrics Dendrobium is an electric concept supercar made by Vanda Electrics, a Singapore-based company specializing in battery technology and electric mobility.
Description
Making its debut at the 2017 Geneva Auto Show, the Dendrobium was designed by the Williams F1 team, who were tasked with engineering and building the show car on behalf of Vanda Electrics.
According to carmagazine.com, the Dendrobium is intended as a halo project to build interest and awareness in the brand. A second brand may follow should the Dendrobium be successful.
The Dendrobium is named after an orchid species in Singapore. Much of the concept’s design is inspired by nature, with honeycomb patterns a recurring theme. The rear-hinged roof and doors, in particular, are intended to echo the petals of an orchid. The roof and doors can be opened independently of each other via the key fob. The car is engineered such that the rearward hinges are set up to withstand the slings and arrows of aerodynamic forces at high speeds.
The chassis is a carbon monocoque, with the battery behind the seats on the other side of a protective bulkhead; occupant protection and battery protection is part and parcel of the challenge of designing BEVs (Battery Electric Vehicles).
The car accelerates 0-62mph in as little as 2.6sec and has a top speed of around 200mph (320 km/h). The total power output is expected at 1000 bhp, with the expected kerb weight be 1750 kg.

Summary
The Vanda Electrics Dendrobium is a mid Class S car added in the Fall Out Boy Update, with the following rank statistics:
- Starting rank: 1374
- MAX rank: 1610
- MAX+PRO rank: 1751
- Tuning Kit bonus: +48
The Vanda Electrics Dendrobium has a Speed Modification of 95.89%.
Performance
The Vanda Electrics Dendrobium has amazing acceleration and smooth handling, as well as a unique and very good nitro efficiency rating of 7/10/12.5. However, it has a low top speed and is highly reliant on its powerful nitro boost to keep up with other vehicles—taking its speed modification into account, at MAX+PRO with a tuning kit applied, the Dendrobium is only 0.1 km/h faster than the nanoFlowcell QUANT FE with the default 4444 Elite tuning; even with level 3 nitro active, the Dendrobium is still 1.7 mph (3 km/h) slower than the Hennessey Venom GT.
Official review
This is the official review of the Vanda Electrics Dendrobium on the Asphalt YouTube channel, made by ASL Tae Hwan Kim and published on March 16, 2018:
Time to reach end of Tokyo straight: 7.359s
Perfect nitro duration: 10.461s
Triple nitro duration: 7.887s
French Guiana lap time: 57.468s
Final verdict: "With its great acceleration and nice top speed, the Vanda can act pretty well in Multiplayer if tuned correctly. MAX+PRO stats are also great overall, so it also can be a great option for TLEs. Although this car is far from being a king of S Class, it's a really good choice if you're looking for a great mid-tier S Class car."
Usage (Multiplayer)
Usage (TLEs)
While the Vanda Electrics Dendrobium may not be the best vehicle in TLEs involving S Class, it is to date the best vehicle to use in TLEs (and career events) involving electric vehicles.
